You are a new creation
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all (John 3:31).
As a new creation, you are from above and not from the earth. You proceeded from the bosom of the father and far superior to all other elements of the world. The fall of Adam placed mankind in the state of mess. That is the reason why we have sickness, disease, death, poverty and any negative thing that you can think of. All these negative things exist because the natural world came under the influence of Satan.
As a new creation, you are not of the system of this world therefore can’t be influenced by it. You belong to another system which comes from above, that is, the system of the Lord Jesus Christ. You are therefore superior to all the negative things of this world. Jesus said that “as long as I am in this world; I am the light of the world” (John 9:5). Another scripture says that “as He is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). A third scripture says that “ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” (Matthew 5:14). Some children of God are not enjoying these realities because of many reasons some of which are as follows.
Firstly, they lack knowledge about their inheritance and privileges in the scriptures. For lack of knowledge my people perish (Hosea 4:6). Discover yourself through the scriptures and you will never become a victim of the system of this world.
Secondly, some children of God know the word but don’t obey it. Jesus said, if you love me, obey my commandments. Obeying the commandments of Jesus is for our own good and not necessarily for the good of Jesus. We are blessed when we obey the word of God.
Refuse to bow to the pressures of the devil. Sometimes, we may be doing everything write but will still be experiencing challenges. These challenges are called persecutions. If we are consistent with the Gospel, we will defeat the enemy because of the power in the word. We have the ability to wear the devil out in all his attacks because we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
We are a chosen generation (1 Peter 2:9). This means that our divine genetic makeup is superior to the system of this world. We have been born to make the world a better place to live in and to improve on the good things in this world. See yourself in that light and you will join the band wagon of victors in this life. You are a new creation!
