You can have what you say

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole (Mark 5:25-29).

Most of the time, the expressions that come out of a person’s mouth are the expressions of faith! And we have different types of faith- weak faith; strong faith; great faith etc. You can have what you say. The scripture above narrates the sad story of a woman in the bible. She spent all here money on medical treatment but her problem could not be healed. Medicine has solved many problems of mankind and continues to discover many more solutions to man’s problems. However, until a discovery is made to solve a lingering medical problem, some persons would continue to suffer or even lose their lives. This is where the gospel becomes more necessary in solving some of the problems that medicine has no answers to.

This woman with issue of blood believed in her heart and confessed with her mouth and finally took a practical step to touch Jesus’ garment. Immediately, she was healed.

What was amazing was that, Jesus felt that power or virtue has left him (Mark 5:30). This reveals a deep truth. Indeed God has made all things available to mankind. He has answered all our prayers already in His word. It is our responsibility to receive what God has already given with our faith. Somebody said that, faith is that hand that receives from God. You can have what you say! If you said it; acted it and it did not work, then it means your faith was not activated. Activated faith always works.

How do you activate your faith? You activate your faith by meditating on the word of God; seeing yourself in the light of God’s word; and taking the needed action (speaking and acting) to get the right result. Speaking in other tongues is also very important in activating our faith.

Bible talks about weak faith, little faith strong faith etc. To operate in any of these categories depends on how we align with God’s word and the Holy Spirit to activate our faith.
